Disaster Rebuilding Assistance (DRA)
For Families Affected by Flooding and Wildfires in New Mexico
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB) has a $4 million grant program available to help households affected by the floods and wildfires. The program starts on January 2, 2025, and funds will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Up to $15,000 per household will be available to cover building rehabilitation.
The $4 million grant monies will be made available in two funding rounds of $2 million each on January 2 and September I, 2025.
Requirements
- The combined household income is at or below 80% of the median income for your area
- The affected home is owner-occupied primary residence
- Applicants must have owned the property for at least 30 days prior to the disaster
- The property must be in an area designated for individual assistance by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) no earlier than January I, 2019.
- Inspections of the property must be completed both before and after damage is remedied, but can be covered from DRA grant funds.
