Berliner Foundation Scholarship
In order to be considered for the Berliner Foundation Scholarship, the applicant must:
- Be a resident of southeastern New Mexico for at least one year prior to application.
- Have been accepted for enrollment in an institution of higher learning.
- If applicant is a high school senior, must have a solid grade point average of 3.5 on a scale of 4.0 and scores on the SAT or ACT of 1050 and 25, respectively.
- If applicant is a current college student, must have a semester grade point average of 2.75 on a scale of 4.0 and must be enrolling as a full-time student for the upcoming semester.
- A returning adult’s academic record must be consistent with above stated requirements.
- In order to maintain eligibility for a multiple-semester award, the applicant must maintain a semester grade point average of 2.75 on a scale of 4.0 and must maintain status as a full-time student.
- The grantee will be allowed one-semester probation, defined as: a semester grade point average below 2.75 but above 2.0; and/or failure to qualify for full-time student status. If a second semester below the requirements occurs, future funding will be revoked.
- The applicant should be a well-rounded individual with outstanding personal character as evidenced by achievements, honors, participation in extracurricular activities and personal references.
- Three written personal references must be provided by the applicant, two of which must be from teachers or school administrators, in the case of a high school senior.
